Overview

The window measures 9' x 4' and is in three sections (due to the weight of stained glass)

Goals

The goal was to provide a piece of art that would be both inspirational and provide the degree of privacy required for the front of a house. The top down to the middle is transparent and further down it is more opaque. Mouth blown European glass, mouth blown rondel, non faceted jewels, bevels and hand-chipped Dalles de Verre were employed.

Process

In Stained glass, there is the designer/artist, the fabricator and the client. I have not found additional people to be required (unless the client/contact is a designer or architect). I provide the drawing to size, the glass for each section, the lead widths for the art piece.

Additional Information

The images show the steps to completion...the glass in the process of being cut and laid out on my pattern, the installation crew with the last section of the window, the completed commission showing the more transparent top and the less transparent lower area.
