Overview

Blake is a new commission for Alnoba, a destination for retreats, leadership and wellness in Kensington, New Hampshire. Sited to draw visitors across the main field to a network of trails, Blake’s tapering form rises over 20’ high, its double doorways leading you down a hill and into the woods.

Goals

The client was looking for a sculpture that would draw visitors to an underutilized area of trails, creek and wetlands on the property. Set into a stone wall at the edge of field and woods, the towering form of "Blake" is visible from afar and its double doorways mark the trailhead.

Process

"Blake" is the third collaboration with clients and art consultant, joining "Sawyer" and "Rays" located at the clients adjoining private home.

Additional Information
