Overview
We were contacted by Artworx consultants through Codaworx! They required a large artwork of 9 feet by 9 feet to activate the space of a beautifully designed minimalist lobby in a prestigious building two blocks from the White House in DC. We decided on a fine art canvas called Samba that is stretched between a handsome black frame that is five inches deep, thereby adding extra dimension to the piece.
Goals
The goal was to beautify and activate the space in concert with the original design of the lobby. All tenants entering the building pass by the artwork as they enter and exit the building, so the artwork is very prominent and the lobby required a powerful piece to enhance the space.
Process
Clients visited our project we had completed in Miami at 600 Brickell Avenue to view the installation. They wanted to achieve something similar for their project in DC. We supplied the artwork and they installed the piece.
