Venice Murano glass studio.

Overview

“Clouds” are dreamy, iridescent, sculptures made of Murano glass that hang throughout the lobby of one of fortune 500 high Tech company headquarter. The works are meant to harness the ephemeral qualities of these natural phenomena and encapsulate them in multi-colore glass. The sculptures are activated by the light in their immediate environment, casting a a colorful array of shadows and forms.
“Cloud” It symbolizes cloud-based intelligent technology concept and its unremitting exploration spirit in the pursuit of building a global platform to “make business easy in the world”. The sculptures from the cloud to the depths of the universe, telling the audience the story of High Tech entrepreneurship and future dreams through a narrative chapters.

Goals

“Cloud” evolves from a single cloud-like form into multiple clouds of different shapes and sizes, presenting the dynamic changes of the form through handmade art glass; at the same time, the color is a unified yet changeable red-purple tone like the morning glow, which also symbolizes the abundant, diverse and vigorous creativity of countless people under the common belief.
The sculptures are meant to beautify the lobby of the building and inspire employees to look up and daydream. We wanted to create a central moment in the day for reflection and rejuvenation.

Process

Cloud is the foundation of the digital world, and it also provides the best operating environment for open source software. Cloud computing has ushered in a new era of open source. Cloud + open source together. the artwork is the collaboration between art and technology.
