Overview

Restaurant-Club PIXI. Total area 654 m2. Seating capacity – 290.
Two floors and three terraces. Materials used in interior design: fused glass, glass, wood, quartzite, brass, mother of pearl, microcement, rubber.

The idea behind the restaurant’s design was a rather unusual concept – observing the weather and nature in different parts of the world.

The sky-themed ceiling with clouds is the main focal point in the main bar’s interior. Light connects the ceiling – designed like the sky with clouds, the bionic-patterned wall panel, and the bar’s main feature – a large heart-nest. Both the wall and ceiling react to sound: the rhythm enlivens the bas-relief, transforming it into a tropical forest or sending you into space, followed by running clouds changing color and sending impulses to the heart-nest.
Sound-reactive lighting creates an immersive experience, blending sound, light, and textures. On the second floor, there’s an entrance to a private club, accessible through the Ladies’ Room. The chandelier, resembling a peacock’s tail, pulsates with RGBW light. The DJ booth adorned with crystal glasses reflects in mirrored walls, creating a dynamic play of light and form. This concept of nature, weather, and space reimagined through light permeates every design element.

Goals

For the lighting solution, we collaborated with the Expolight studio specializing in lighting installations. Our colleagues were involved in the process from the very beginning of interior design concept development. Tests of textures and materials were conducted, taking into account the possibilities of light and materials. All materials used in the design had to meet the requirements of the bright lighting accents. In PIXI, texture, pattern, and lighting installations are integral elements of the design.
Sound-reactive lighting solutions create an immersive experience for observers, thanks to the integration of sound, light, and spatial textures. Nature, weather, and volumes are reinterpreted from a new perspective due to the play of light. This concept permeates every element of the design.

Additional Information

Handcrafted panel on the wall with a bionic pattern is one of the main highlights of the space. The large heart-nest, descending above the main bar, intricately woven from Crocks leftovers, is the sole composition along with the cloud-shaped ceiling and bas-relief. The wall and ceiling are sound-reactive and respond to music: the rhythm enlivens the large bas-relief, transforming it into a tropical forest or sending it on a journey into the infinity of space. Following it, clouds start running across the sky, changing color and sending impulses to the heart-nest. The lighting installation is an integral part of the PIXI design. Light connects the ceiling - sky shaped as clouds, the panel, and the main feature of the bar - the heart-nest. Nature, weather, and volumes are reimagined from a new angle, thanks to the play of light. This concept permeates every element of the design.
