Overview

“Red Eyes” is an ongoing outdoor Pop-Up projection series. It is inspired by the native animism tradition of Japan called Shinto, which is based on the idea that everything in the world, including humans, is part of a single unified creation and that all things in nature are inhabited by spirits.

By using mobile projection mapping technology, animated “Red Eyes” images are projected onto ordinary outdoor structures or objects, giving them life as mysterious monsters. The artist hopes to bring special attention to what’s always been around us and appreciate things in our everyday life.

The series have taken places in in various art festivals and events since 2021 all over the world, including in Kosovo, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Drachten, Buenos Aires, Taos New Mexico, Oregon, Detroit, New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Montreal, and more.

Goals

I want to give "life" to everyday life landscapes and ordinary objects and offer a fresh perspective to people to appreciate things around them in daily life.
