Overview
First installation of Women Artist Changemakers in NYC. Installation played July 4, 5, and 8th at 18 East 23rd Street in the Flatiron District outside union square. The video included multiple pages, a swipeable QR code accessing an audio recording of a Mexican voice actor reading Frida Kahlo’s own words.
Metrics: 16 hours total play time, 837 times played, 5,594 viewers.
Goals
Present on a holiday weekend to determine location viability and number of pedestrians served.
Process
Worked closely with the billboard vendor to find an ideal location before scheduling. Some marketing outreach was initiated with local publications since the installation was produced, scheduled, and monitored remotely.
Additional Information
As a result of this installation I received 11 members joining my street-art Meetup group stating they would be a part of a feedback, critique, and educational program about my billboard art installations. A photographer was unable to be on premises.
